Hello everyone! Today you are going to be reading an interview with my good friend, Beth! Beth has a passion to fight against human trafficking and she and her sister, Chloe, have decided to make and sell Christmas cards. They will be donating the profits from the cards to an organization fighting against human trafficking. In the interview, Beth will give you more information about the cards and at the end there will be a form you can fill out if you would like to purchase some cards from her! Bella: Hi Beth! Thank you for taking time to do an interview with me! Beth: Howdy Bella, thanks for having me! Bella: So you are selling homemade Christmas cards and will be donating the money to an organization fighting human trafficking. Please tell us a little bit more about the cards and the organization you’ll be giving the money to. Beth: My sister Chloe makes the Christmas cards, so a big thanks to her! The cards are really just basic homemade Holiday cards, simple, but with a sweet message... The organization the proceeds will be going to is, International Justice Mission, www.ijm.org. Bella: Why are you passionate about fighting human trafficking? Beth: I hate slavery. I hate the fact that people are held in slavery all over the world. I believe God made every man, woman, and child, equal. I think as children of God it's our duty to fight against cruelties of this world. I had dreams, a couple of months ago, that I was held in slavery. Then I read an amazing article and it talked of how God didn't have to use us but he wanted to. I had to let God use me. Human trafficking breaks my heart. And I have to do something to help STOP it. Bella: How did you find out about human trafficking? Beth: I'd heard about it briefly from my sister, but I fully found out about it from you, Bella, and your sister Kenzie! Bella: How did you come up with your idea of selling these cards? Beth: Well Bella, you sent me some website pages and there they discussed ways you could join the fight to stop slavery, making these cards was one of them. It's small but it's what we could do now. Bella: How much are you selling the cards for? Beth: $4 a piece! Bella: Thank you for your passion to fight human trafficking and what you are doing to help end it! And thank you for doing this interview with us, Beth! :) Beth: Thank you for inspiring me to fight this! And Thanks for having me on this interview! Below is a form you can fill out if you would like to purchase some cards from Beth!
